For my mum...

The trippiest mum around :)

Ink-a-pow!

I've become a little bit obsessed with stamps. Not the licky kind, the ink kind, and during my maternity leave I got to work crafting plenty of personalised cards and frames (nap times permitting). I just love the ease of it, and the rough-around-the-edges end effect. I'd love to know what you think - here are a few of my faves...

Little Birdie loves... Swings

These days, I can mainly be found in a playground, pushing a swing. Oh, how my weekends have changed! Of course, Little Birdie LOVES it, and nothing beats the giggles and grins she gives out as the pushes get bigger. Wheeeeeeeee!

Little Birdie loves...

Each week I'll be posting on what my Little Birdie loves right now - cos boy does she have opinions (and she's only just turned one!).

This week, Little Birdie loves... SUNGLASSES
Her sunnies are pink and white polka-dot, super-sized 50s-style ones. And you know what? She totally rocks them! They may only stay on for 30 seconds at a time, but there is something she finds fascinating about them.

Styling out the sunnies

Feeling hungry?

Bet you are now you've seen these...

Browsing Sainsbury's Magazine the other day, I came across these beauties. Just how amazing are the colours?!

Pinning is winning

I'm a big fan of mood boards, and when me and SG (suave gent) bought our first home three years ago, Pinterest was my hero. I've used it for everything from choosing wallpaper (stripes won, FYI) and inspiration on styling up recipes for shoots I'm involved with, to ways of displaying plates, and crafty ideas I'd love to do with that elusive spare half hour I'm constantly chasing. Oh, and although Pinterest wasn't a big deal when me and SG tied the knot back in the olden days, I did use it to organise a special Naming Day for Little Birdie last summer.

Check out my Pinterest here.

I wet through a phase of Pinning plate displays for a while...
More plates

Well, hello there!

My name's Kirsty, I'm 32, and I live in a gem of a community called Mill Street (more of that later). I'm married to this rather suave gent (SG) and the super-proud mama of my Little Birdie, who just turned one.

No interest in mummy stuff? No problem. I'll be wittering on about all kinds of things, including:
  • Bagging bargains
  • All things foodie
  • Crafting
  • Nutty neighbours
  • Home stylin', and yes...
  • The occasional proud mama moment
Pleased to meet you, and do stay :)
